| In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation to assist in the hiring of at least 2,000 police officers across the Commonwealth. Our cities and communities are being ravaged by lawless thugs intent on destroying the moral fabric of our society. Crime is up across the Commonwealth and our officers are overworked, understaffed, and dying in the field. While the radical left continues their nonsensical diatribe to defund the police, no one is standing up for our men and women in blue. We must do something to protect our law-abiding citizens. As such, my legislation will create funding opportunities for police departments to hire a minimum of 2,000 new officers across this Commonwealth. It is high time we spend tax dollars on things that actually matter to the health and welfare of our citizens. Please join me in taking back our Commonwealth’s streets and join me in sponsoring this vital legislation. |
