MEMORANDUM

Posted: March 26, 2024 03:47 PM
From: Representative Martina A. White and Rep. Kathleen C. Tomlinson
To: All House members
Subject: Recognizing June 2, 2024, as "Jason Kelce Day" in Pennsylvania

In the near future, we plan to introduce a resolution honoring Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles for his numerous contributions to Philadelphia, and Pennsylvania, on and off the football field.

Jason’s 13-year career with the Philadelphia Eagles and his athletic achievements are well known and remembered throughout this Commonwealth. We are sure that many Pennsylvanians can remember exactly where they were when the Eagles defeated the New England Patriots on February 4, 2018, for their first Super Bowl victory … a victory in which Jason played a critical role.

But arguably more important are the contributions that Jason Kelce made off the football field. Jason exemplified community service, philanthropy, and a pay-it-forward mentality. Philadelphia, and indeed our Commonwealth as a whole, are better off because of the actions of Jason Kelce.

That is why we are proud to introduce this resolution; to recognize a living legend of Philadelphia football and highlight his achievements - both athletic and otherwise - as examples for future generations of Pennsylvanians to aspire to.

Please join me in cosponsoring this resolution.
