Subject: Recognizing March 14 2024 as “Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered Day”
 
I will soon offer a resolution recognizing March 14, 2024 as “Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered Day” in Pennsylvania to commemorate the work of these individuals in helping people make positive nutrition and health choices. Their role in informing the public of healthy eating habits should not go unnoticed.
 
These qualified individuals use their nutrition knowledge to help individuals make positive lifestyle changes and support their nutrition team and work throughout the community in areas such as hospitals, public health clinics, nursing homes and more. 3,500 residents of this Commonwealth are members of the Pennsylvania Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, which is an affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and advocates for promotion of optimal nutrition, health, and well-being.
 
Please join me in helping recognize this important profession in the Commonwealth.
