A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the week of May 6 through 10, 2024, as "Teacher
Appreciation Week" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, Teachers in this Commonwealth are an invaluable
resource that help shape the minds of Pennsylvania students; and
WHEREAS, A child-first and family-focused education is vital
to the success of our students and Commonwealth as a whole; and
WHEREAS, Teachers are tasked with educating the students of
this Commonwealth with a quality child-first and family-focused
education that meets the specific needs of each student; and
WHEREAS, Everyday, teachers work with students to help them
achieve academic success which will directly impact the
students' success later in life; and
WHEREAS, Our Commonwealth depends on the success of teachers
to ensure that each student will be a productive and successful
member of society; and
WHEREAS, Teachers serve as role models for students by
exemplifying crucial values, including a good work ethic,

determination, fairness, perseverance and compassion; and
WHEREAS, Teachers not only aid in the educational growth of
students but also aid in their growth as a person; and
WHEREAS, Teachers in this Commonwealth deserve to be
recognized for their hard work and sacrifice in ensuring a
bright future for both students and this Commonwealth; therefore
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the
week of May 6 through 10, 2024, as "Teacher Appreciation Week"
in Pennsylvania; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives declare its
appreciation to all teachers for their commitment to ensuring
that each student receives a quality child-first and family-
focused education.
