A RESOLUTION
Expressing profound sorrow and heartfelt condolences on the
passing of Brian Kadunc and recognizing his contributions to
the House of Representatives and this Commonwealth.
WHEREAS, Brian Kadunc passed away on Saturday, September 12,
2015; and
WHEREAS, Brian served as a valued employee of the House of
Representatives for more than 10 years, working both in district
offices in the southeastern portion of this Commonwealth and at
the State Capitol; and
WHEREAS, Brian served at the side of State Representative

Mike Vereb from 2010 to 2015 and helped craft several bills that
were enacted into law and continue to positively impact the
lives of Pennsylvanians; and
WHEREAS, Brian was instrumental in helping Representative
Vereb usher House Bill 1610 through the General Assembly in
2012, resulting in the enactment of the Sudden Cardiac Arrest
Prevention Act that establishes standards for preventing sudden
cardiac arrest and death in student athletes; and
WHEREAS, Brian was known for his great sense of humor and the
camaraderie he shared with his colleagues and friends within and
outside the House of Representatives; and
WHEREAS, Brian earned his undergraduate degree from Villanova
University and was a devoted Wildcats basketball fan; therefore
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives note with deep
sadness the passing of Brian Kadunc and extend heartfelt
condolences to his father, James Kadunc; mother, Catherine
Kadunc; sister, Melinda Sgariglia; and his extended family; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives express profound
sorrow and heartfelt condolences on the passing of Brian Kadunc
and recognize his contributions to the House of Representatives
and offer its sincere appreciation for the work performed by
Brian Kadunc during his tenure as an employee and recognize the
positive contributions he made to this Commonwealth.
