AN ACT
Amending Title 65 (Public Officers) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in ethics standards and financial
disclosure, further providing for restricted activities.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 1103(g) of Title 65 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
ยง 1103. Restricted activities.

(g) Former official or employee.--
(1) No former public official or public employee shall
represent a person, with promised or actual compensation, on
any matter before the governmental body with which he has
been associated for one year after he leaves that body.
Nothing in this subsection shall prevent a former public
official or employee from appearing before an agency in a
proceeding or hearing as a witness or testifying as to any
fact or information.

(2) A former public official or employee of the
executive branch whose duties substantially involve licensing
or enforcement, the development of laws or the development or
adoption of regulations or policy or who has other
discretionary authority which may affect or influence the
outcome of an action, proceeding or decision may not a ccept
employment with or be retained by a regulated entity for a
period of one year after the termination of employment.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
